November 6, 2015 (Fort Worth, Texas) – Camp Fire First Texas’ President/CEO Ann Sheets has announced and implemented a new organizational design for the 101-year-old youth development organization. Sheets, who was appointed to her new position in July 2015 after being with the council for 38 years, aligned the new leadership positions around the council’s main assets: fiscal and human assets, fixed assets and intellectual and social assets.

“After many conversations with senior staff, the CEO search committee and our board leadership, I am confident in these decisions about the leadership design for the council. I believe these new positions will help us continue the long tradition of excellence for which this council has been known,” Sheets said.

The reorganization introduces a high-level management structure and re-alignment of council responsibilities:

Linda Ramoz, formerly the vice president for finance, will serve as the council’s chief financial officer. As CFO, Ramoz will be responsible for all finance, accounting and human resources in the council. She will also work closely with the Camp Fire First Texas Foundation, the council’s support organization, which manages all council investments.

Lisa Cook, who has been with First Texas for more than ten years as the outdoor vice president, will now serve as the council’s chief facilities and technology officer. In this role, Cook will have oversight for the properties, facilities and equipment at the Camp Fire Resource Center, Camp El Tesoro and other council-owned or operated sites. She is also responsible for technology and risk management.

Lyn Lucas has been appointed chief program officer. Lucas most recently served as the council’s work/family division vice president, but also has experience as the group services vice president during her first few years with Camp Fire. As the CPO, Lucas will be responsible for all First Texas programming and will work closely with the vice presidents in each division, as well as with program quality and other initiatives.

In addition to a new leadership design, the council has renamed two departments to better reflect the purpose of each division. Work/Family has been renamed Early Childhood Education and Group Services has been renamed Youth Development. The Outdoor Division retains its original name.
