Frequently Asked Questions

Age Restrictions

There are no minimum ages for the 5K & 10K.
The Kids 1K Fun Run is limited to children age 12 or younger.

Packets and Bibs

Your race packet will be available for pick-up before the race. Your packet will include your bib number with timing chip. Bibs must be worn during the race on the front of your shirt to ensure accurate timing. Bibs on the back of runners may not read, causing you to not be timed.

Weather

We’re planning to run rain or shine, but please make a personal decision on whether you feel safe to participate. Please follow along on social media @campfirefw for updates. There are no refunds for the event. All registration fees will go toward the Camp Scholarship fund.

Course Basics

  • Both the 5K and 10K will start together.
  • The 5K is one lap around the Camp.
  • The 10K course will be two laps around the camp
  • There will be mile markers on the course.
  • There will be water stations on the course at 1.7 miles: one for the 5K and two for the 10K.
  • Please be courteous to other runners trying to pass.
  • If you are wearing earphones, please only use one speaker so you can hear staff, runners and volunteers on the course. The course is marked for turns and any hazards. Make sure you look for markings and signage.

Strollers

No, our trails do not accommodate strollers.

First Aid

We will have First Aid at the finish line.

Cabin Lodging Details

Each cabin sleeps 12 people. All cabins are accessible.

Parking

Attendants will assist in parking in the camp parking lots on Race Day.

Results

Awards will be given out in accordance with the following:

  • Male and Female 14 & under, 15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64, 65 and over
  • Unique awards for Overall Male, Female, Masters Male and Female
  • Awards for 1st in each age group and gender for 5K and 10K
  • Race results will be available 1-2 minutes after you cross the finish line at the Results Tent or on your smartphone and will update regularly throughout the morning. All results will be posted online at www.racedayeventservices.com

Awards

Awards will be given at Revolver Brewery (about 2 miles from Camp El Tesoro). Awards will last approximately 20 minutes.
