January 17, 2016 (Fort Worth, Texas) –Cathy Halliday has joined Camp Fire First Texas as vice president of youth development, effective January 2016. She oversees the implementation and success of the Step Up School Completion Program and out of school programs in Tarrant and Parker Counties.

Before coming to Camp Fire, Cathy honed her management and youth development skills over 35 years working as a preschool teacher, Child Care Center Director and a District Manager. The scope of her work has included multi-site management of 28 different locations simultaneously. She has led child care and before/after school work and ushered many of these programs successfully through the accreditation process.

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science from New York Institute of Technology in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Cathy enjoys knowing that what she does will influence children and families in a positive way. She loves helping children find their spark and wants to encourage their personal growth through education.
