April 8, 2016 (Fort Worth, Texas) – Christina Middlebrook has joined Camp Fire First Texas as vice president, outdoor division, effective April 2016. She oversees all outdoor programs including summer overnight camp, day camps, outdoor education, family programs and camp retreats and rentals.

Prior to joining the Camp Fire Staff, Christina was the Director of Green Revolution, an environmental leadership platform focused on increasing environmental stewardship and E-STEM skills of students at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. She has also worked as a high school science classroom teacher, AVID coordinator, teacher mentor and director for an out-of-school time program.

Christina believes in Camp Fire’s mission to help youth find their voice. She enjoys helping students discover their strengths, and teaching youth how to use those strengths to have a positive impact on our world.

Christina holds a Master of Arts in science education and several certifications including an Educational Leadership Certification from Harvard, a Nonprofit Management Certification from University of Texas – Austin, two teaching certificates and a Professional Development and Appraisal Systems Certificate from TEA.

She is a member of the North American Association for Environmental Education, Texas Science Education Leadership Association, National Science Teachers Association, SteerFW, VisionFW and is a Founding Brain Trust Member for Propel Women.
