JENNY WESTER

Vice President of Youth Development

Jenny Wester serves as Vice President of Youth Development at Camp Fire First Texas, overseeing the organization’s Afterschool, Teens in Action, and Summer Day Camp programs. Her unique skills include logistics, problem-solving, and respecting every person’s story, all of which contribute to her drive to make a difference for youth.

Before joining Camp Fire, Jenny was Vice President of Product Program, Customer Care, and Retail for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. She has previously held logistics positions with Exel Logistics. Based on her experiences, she values autonomy at work, loves seeing her team try new things, and enjoys seeing them feel successful and empowered.

Jenny grew up all over Texas, moving every couple of years across the state due to her dad’s job at a natural gas company. She graduated with her BA in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Texas.

Jenny is a member of DOVIA Tarrant County, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Fort Worth. She also serves as Vice President of Programs for DOVIA.

Jenny enjoys travel, history, and nature. Her favorite activities include spending time with family and friends, volunteering at church and in the community, and trying to keep her house plants alive. (She has over 50 and has yet to meet a plant she doesn’t like!)

When she’s not working or engaged in her favorite activities, you’ll find her eating gummy bears and staying busy as the mom of three boys she shares with her husband.

Senior Quote

Let’s just try. So much of life requires calculated risk and adapting to change. This can mean opportunities to learn new ways of working or how to improve a process. Watching myself or others be courageous and try new things gives me energy. Seeing someone’s confidence grow as they recognize their strengths and unique abilities is the best feeling! It’s amazing what you can do if you just try. And if it fails, well, you learn from failure. Remind yourself it’s not your identity, then get up and try again.
