Dear Camp Fire Families,

First, we cannot emphasize how much we enjoy being a part of your child’s life journey. Our after school programs and summer day camps strive to offer each child a place to find and develop their Sparks, find and flex their unique voice while receiving support from a team of caring adults.

We understand that as online school is coming to a close, many of you are looking ahead to summer schedules and what programs will be offered to your child – and you – during the weeks to come.

While it is hard to face so much uncertainty, we ask for your continued patience as we explore all our options, evaluate the recently released standards and develop necessary training for our staff. We are also working with school officials on use of facilities.

To help you plan, we wanted you to know our intent to have a decision to you about summer day camp programs in early June.

In the meantime, we do feel it is important to share that we do know it will not be “camp as usual” this summer. Here are a few of the areas that will be different if we proceed.

  • Ratios and Group size – Children will be in smaller groups and stay in those groups throughout the day. This will also limit the number of children who can enroll.
  • Safety – More safeguards will be implemented such as daily temperature checks, staff possibly wearing face masks and practicing social distancing.
  • No Outside Visitors – Parents/guardians will need to drop off at the door and only program staff and campers will be allowed in the program area.

Your support and patience has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for entrusting us to care and support your children.
