Presented in partnership with Communities Foundation of Texas, this year’s awards will recognize 125 North Texas leaders and organizations.

D CEO has named finalists in its sixth annual Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards, presented in partnership with the Communities Foundation of Texas.

D CEO has named Camp Fire First Texas as a finalist in the Innovation in Education category. This honor is in recognition of the innovative early childhood workforce development of the Camp Fire Early Education Apprenticeship Program team.

This year’s award program attracted a record number of nominations—nearly 550—demonstrating the depth and strength of the nonprofit community in North Texas and their deep engagement with the companies that support them. Multiple judging sessions were held by D CEO editors, who named a total of 125 finalists.

Three special awards were added this year: Cynt and Kenny Marshall will be honored with the Volunteer Impact Award for their work with Dallas CASA; Madi Franquiz will receive the Emerging Leader Award for her work with the World Literacy Foundation, and the late Kirk Myers-Hill, founder of Abounding Prosperity, will be honored with the Legacy Award.

All 125 finalists will be recognized in D CEO’s August issue and at an exclusive awards event in July, where the winners in each category will be revealed.

About Camp Fire First Texas

Camp Fire First Texas invests in North Texas communities by providing out-of-school time and outdoor learning programs for children and youth while also offering workforce development programs for the educators who care for them.

Our programs stand out as they are uniquely focused on the two periods of greatest brain growth and development: early childhood and early adolescence; leverage the impact of the outdoor environment on the brain to educate and connect children to each other and the world around them; and maintain a continuous improvement loop to maximize community impact.

We envision a community in which every child has equitable access to quality learning opportunities that cultivate the skills they need to succeed and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
