Vestal Odom began his career with Camp Fire First Texas in July 2021 as the Camp El Tesoro Site Director. He has been in the industry for more than 23 years and dedicated 11 of those years to the care, management and maintenance of nonprofit youth camping and retreat properties.
Working in this career path has been a passion for Vestal as it combines many of his loves – love of the outdoors, fixing things and showing off what Mother Nature provides to those visiting and experiencing camp and retreat facilities.
In this role he also hopes to bring the feeling of comfort, safety and security to visitors and campers while they enjoy nature and activities that teach them to enjoy the outdoors. He looks forward to fostering a rewarding relationship as he helps Camp Fire provide an ever-improving site where all guests can experience what El Tesoro has to offer.
Vestal is a proud dad to three great kids.
