Mecole Darden is the Associate Program Director, Diamond Hill Station at Camp Fire First Texas. She served as a Diamond Hill Station summer program specialist and counselor from 1997 to 2000, and then returned to Camp Fire in 2004 as site director. Mecole’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations at Diamond Hill Station; she helps provide a safe and nurturing environment for the community’s low-income and at-risk children by taking a personal interest in each and every one of them.
In her work with Camp Fire Mecole enjoys having the ability to positively impact and influence the lives of children. She also loves to see the children she helped care for grow up and bring their own children back to Diamond Hill Station.
Before coming to Camp Fire Mecole served as a counselor at the Wesley Community Center and worked at General Dynamics.
