Hope Wharton joined Camp Fire First Texas in September 2018 as a child development specialist. In her role, Hope serves as a professional guide and mentor to select child care facilities to improve and maintain quality standards supporting Texas Rising Star (TRS) centers, and helps new centers obtain TRS Certification.

Hope brings more than 40 years of experience as an early childhood professional to Camp Fire. She has previously served as a teacher, director, administrator, program developer, mentor, coach, and parent educator in both the private and non-profit sectors. Hope believes that as a professional early childhood educator, parent, leader, and advocate, her work is all about the children, which is why she wanted to join the work Camp Fire does in local communities.

She is a member of the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Texas Association for Education of Young Children (TAEYC), and holds a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies, business/education from Dallas Baptist University.
