Dr. Dana Brocks is the director of Camp Fire First Texas Early Education Apprenticeship Program. She has over 20 years of experience in early childhood development and 15 years of direct experience with early childhood education programs. She has worked in both the private and public sectors of early childhood programming. Most of Dr. Brocks’ child development experience was in center management with Head Start of Greater Dallas.

Dana is a recent graduate of Abilene Christian University receiving her Doctor of Education in organizational leadership with a focus in conflict resolution. Her research focused on Turnover Intentions in non-profit early childhood education programs. She has a passion for supervisor and subordinate engagement and believes this relationship is important in minimizing turnover.

Dr. Brocks has a passion for the performing arts and exposing children to the genre. She studied briefly at New York Film Academy (Hollywood location) completing a track in filmmaking. She spent 9 years as a Fine Arts director for a local Dallas church. In her spare time, she writes and produces plays for children and youth. She also enjoys teaching children how to write and produce their own works. Dr. Brocks is married with one son.
