YOGA in the Early Childhood Classroom
Camp Fire Resource Center- North Fort Worth
Yoga allows children to learn to focus their minds, gradually developing better concentration skills; to acquire the art of relaxing the body and learning how to be still and peaceful within themselves. It also complements the natural development of children’s minds and bodies.
All teachers can learn fundamentals of yoga and pass these on to the children in their classrooms to increase mental clarity, reduce stress and enhance creativity. Please join our presenter (not certified instructor of yoga, but a passionate fan) and discover how to incorporate practices in your classroom, understand the history and benefits of yoga to explain to parents and as a bonus you will leave being able to do a pose or two!
