Below is a sample of a daily routine for our older children in the center (18 months – 5 years). This is only an example and details are modified to provide developmentally appropriate practices by room, age and interests of children.

6:30 – 8:30 a.m.

8:30 – 9:00 a.m.

9:00 – 9:15 a.m.

9:15 – 9:45 a.m.

9:45 – 10:30 a.m.

10:30 – 11:00 a.m.    

11:00 – 11:30 a.m.

11:30 a.m. – Noon

12:15 – 2:30 p.m.

2:35 – 3:00 p.m.

3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

4:00 – 4:30 p.m.

4:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Arrival/Centers

Family style breakfast

Bathroom/Diaper change

Large group circle time followed by centers

Outside time/gross motor activity

Transition and bathroom

Reading

Family style lunch

Nap

Wake up/Clean up/Transition to snack

Outside time/gross motor activity followed by bathroom/diaper change

Afternoon group circle time

Centers 

 

Clean-up, water breaks and potty times are on-going and as needed.

Center activities and experiences include, but aren't limited to: science, process-oriented art, wood working, reading/literacy, writing, home-living, blocks and math-manipulative.

Infant schedules are set by the parents with support of Camp Fire staff because infant needs and schedules vary.
