WoHeLo Hour Crafts and Creativity text, campers laughing around a table creating art

While we can’t be together in-person this summer, Camp El Tesoro Staff, Counselors In Training (CITs) and other guests will be sharing weekly camp-at-home activities spotlighting a different theme each week.

This week, we’re getting crafty. Watch our kick-off video below featuring a resident camp craft expert and set aside time to enjoy the weekly activities.

Don’t forget to keep track of activities on the Camp El Tesoro CAMPO Card – like Bingo, but better.

Social Connection

Making arts & crafts is an essential part of camp. Share a picture on you or your parent’s social account (#CampElTesoro or @campeltesoro) of a craft that you made at camp or one you’ve made this week. Check out the collection of our staff’s favorite crafts in the video below.

Activity 1 – Making a God’s Eye

The Ojos de Dios or God’s Eye is a summer camp craft stape. Pull out two sticks and some yarn then watch our tutorial below. Make your own God’s Eye this week and share your photos with us.

Activity 2 – Coloring For Everyone

Coloring is a great way to relax your mind and experess your creativity. We’ve created Camp Fire Coloring Pages to print at home. Grab a family member or neighbor and color these iconic camp images how you see them.

Here are a few things shared in this week’s video you might like, too.
