Parker County Summer Day Camp

Dear families – we are experiencing high waitlist numbers at this time for our Aledo Day Camp. We encourage you to place your child on the waitlist so we can better understand the needs of the community. However, you may want to look at alternate locations as well.

Many families change summer plans closer to camp time and find out they do not need some weeks of camp. We will reach out to you when/if a spot becomes available for the weeks your students are on the waitlist. Some weeks have longer waitlists than others, so we may call about a specific week while you remain on the waitlist for others.

We do have current availability at our two Fort Worth locations:
West Fort Worth: Westcliff Elementary
North Fort Worth: Diamond Hill Station

We want you to join us for Camp Fire Summer Day Camp in Aledo!

This summer, we will get to the bottom of the ever-constant childhood question, “Why?” as campers discover how things work. From vacuums and toasters to curve balls, mass transit and weather patterns, no question will be left unexplored.

how stuff works graphic

Day Campers will get an insider’s view as they see first-hand how things work while using critical thinking skills, research and their own ingenuity.

Plus:

  • hands-on experiments,
  • STEAM projects,
  • special guest speakers,
  • weekly swimming and
  • field trips will keep campers active and engaged all summer.

And that’s just the beginning!

Campers will love that no two days are the same as they explore all summer long.

Two daily snacks, all field trip and material fees are included in the program price.
Please pack a lunch with a cooler or ice pack as no refrigeration is available. We are a nut-free program. Please DO NOT send any nut products (almonds, almond milk, peanut butter, trail mix with nuts, etc.)

Our Staff

Our trained staff make the difference. Staff receive ongoing training in youth development and the Thrive methodology. This helps each child learn to thrive by allowing them to explore their personal interests, make healthy choices, develop social skills and have fun. Camp Fire programs offer an environment where youth can learn through active exploration and interaction of program staff trained to observe and engage youth to support, extend and clarify learning.
