Sensory Needs- How Would I Know?
Greenville Avenue Church of Christ- Richardson
All children have processes in their brains that help them organize information from their environment. Sometimes these processes follow a different pattern. As early child care teachers, determining whether a child has sensory needs is critical to that child’s (and the classroom’s) success. These sensory needs may require different or supplemental materials. You don’t have to break the bank to offer age-appropriate, hands-on materials for children with sensory needs. Your skilled instructor will share first hand knowledge of how to identify sensory needs and share inexpensive ideas to create items that facilitate the learning of children with sensory needs.
