The Youth Adventure Program is an exciting way for youth to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills while also participating in community service projects. Along with serving others, there is still good old-fashioned camping fun. Campers learn about CPR, first aid, babysitting and have the opportunity to visit with professionals during career exploration days.
Community service projects involve research and planning by every participant, making it a more significant venture for each child. Some past community service projects have included: assisting in projects at LMRA, a car wash, mentoring younger campers and helping organize the Wild Wednesday Field Days for all campers. Some projects benefit community resources such as Tarrant Area Food Bank, Cook Children's Medical Center and the SPCA.
