Trinity Lutheran Children's Center has an opening for a Teacher Assistant in their infant classroom. The assistant to the lead infant teacher will help in the daily management, care, and supervision of the children in the infant classroom. With the lead teacher, the assistant is responsible for the care of infants from six weeks to 8 months of age. The assistant works with the lead teacher and the parents to assess the needs of the individual children. The assistant functions as part of a team working in an atmosphere of Christian love and should have a caring and nurturing attitude toward children. Physically, the assistant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for diaper changing and be able to sit on the floor to play with the babies. This position is responsible for staff support and development, support for daily program operations, and oversight of curriculum and program planning.
